Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed on Thursday there were 25 manatees reported dead in Lee County since Friday February 13th.

Two of the manatees were rescued from the Fort Myers-Bonita Springs area in 2024 and released Feb. 18. according to Save the Manatee Club.
