The annual Perseid meteor shower peaks Friday through Saturday, and NASA says the showers could reach 10 to 20 meteors passing through the sky per hour. Debris from the 109P/Swift-Tuttle comet entering the Earth's atmosphere and burning up results in the renowned meteor showers only visible during a small window of time every year.
